Staying Mobile and Staying Connected

With the covid lockdowns, shutdowns, quarantines, and reopenings 2020 has been a very stressful year for everybody. That's why I've been staying active and using my time wisely to heal from my surgeries, continue my therapies, and advance my studies thru online certifications.

Let's face it, it's not getting better any time soon on its own. We have to put in the time, do the work, and move forward in life while governments do what governments do which involves a lot of red tape and politics. But that does not mean we have to stop living, stop planning and setting goals for ourselves.

After all I've been thru, I have so much to offer the world in terms of knowledge about social distancing with a rare condition, coping, adapting to major changes and situations in ones life as well as knowing the signs and stages of emotional and traumatic stress. How it all takes a toll on us physically, mentally, and spiritually.

One of the things I did was make a choice. We have so many choices we can make and you can make a choice today for you. The choice I made wasn't about just myself, my condition, my lifestyle, but about what I can do for myself and for others right now and in the near future.

I've come to learn a lot about myself, my condition, my treatments, my lifestyle and how staying healthy, stay mobile, and staying connected is so important to every person on this earth.

That's why I took the next step. Not only am I fighting the fight for me with all the therapy I do for my rare conditions and help others thru volunteer support with their tinnitus, hyperacusis, and vestibular issues, I'm also getting certified thru ACE with my over all objective being to help myself and others stay mobile and stay connected.

My first certification was Aging and Exercise: Reducing Cognitive Decline with Physical Activity. The second certification I went for was How to Deal with Chronic Pain and Exercise. I'm currently working thru my certification on Moving with Arthritis. I'm also taking part in a HIIT Webinar this month which deals with Programming the Ultimate High Intensity Interval Training. So as you can see even with all this humidity and vertigo issues from this summer alone, I'm taking any time I can't be as mobile as I'd like and putting it to good use with my course studies.

There's so much science behind these conditions. How our bodies are effected, how our minds respond, and how therapy and staying active is a huge key to living your best life yet.

Now there's a reason I chose the studies I did. Because as we get older our mobility starts to decline and even more so for people with rare conditions, invisible disabilities. These conditions put us at a disadvantage where some are bedridden and even lose days, weeks, months to their conditions. The struggle is very real. I understand that and that's why I want to help others stay mobile and connected.

Until next time... Stay Strong
