Vertigo Treatment

Day 1 of Treatment

Severe Vertigo Caused by Hyperacusis

I took my first dose of the medication. My doctor and I thought it was best taking the medication at night time because it had the possibility of causing drowsiness.

Not sure what to make of the tightness in my face. It first started around the nose area then up into the forehead. This would be great for someone doing botox treatments, but I am not!

Two thoughts come to mind with this, because the medication is suppose to work on the migraine aspect of my severe vertigo. The possibility could be that noticing this, means it is working. However, one of the possible side effects of the medication is mask like facial expression.

This is listed under rare but serious side effects. I also noted a gritter like, shaking in both arms, with a tingly feeling. The good news is I did sleep well, the first time in a very long time. With having tinnitus it can be difficult to get a good night sleep.

Feeling a bit off my game today, my work causes my to continuously multitask and I seem to be falling short of that ability today. My focus doesn't seem to be there. I'm use to be very alert and capable of handle time framed situation and quick response but I feel like I'm working in slow motion.

I did mention all this to the doctor. We may try another night just to see how it goes as my body needs to adjust to the medication, we will see what the doctor says about the tightness in the face.

If nothing else I got a good night sleep. I have noticed my tinnitus is louder today.

It's only Day 1, there is no way of telling if it effected the vertigo.
