Coping and Adapting Exercise

One of the things someone with tinnitus or hyperacusis has to do is determine what problems they are having and how difficult it is to cope with the situation.

A lot of times we can determine if something is a trigger for a spike in our condition or if certain things make us vulnerable.

By knowing this and our condition, we can decide how to cope and adapt. It's not a one size fits all. What works for some might not work for others.  Sometimes, restrictions must be put in place.

A doctor can determine if one needs restrictions and accommodations by going over how you react, what symptoms you experience, and what helps or made it worse.

So today, I'm sharing this chart. By documenting your case, you help your doctor manage your care. Teamwork is so important.

Feel free to share with us what coping strategies and alternative actions you've tried.
