Vertigo and how it could affect you
It's one of those things where you just know something is off... something just doesn't feel right... also the stumbling around off balance would be a clue... and the extreme lightheadedness that makes me feel like I'm going to black out...
It started with an unusual ear pain.. it didn't feel like an ear infection... nor was it the tinnitus driving me crazy ringing or the pain I get from the hyperacusis (overly sensitive to everyday sounds) it was a pain that would come and go... it was making itself quite known..
At first the lightheadedness was like a fog rolling in... a storm to come... it seemed to subside once I wasn't so active... however it didn't explain the occurrence when I was laying down... if I was already laying down... why did I feel like I was falling out of bed...
Nor did it explain why sounds that didn't normally bother me seemed to leave me feeling overwhelmed and confused... like the sound of papers being sorted through... (Yeah I've got issues)
I spoke with my specialists office and they thought maybe some type of an infection was setting in but it didn't fit with the lightheadedness and confused state... Yesterday I went to the store just to grab a few things and it was to much for me... I was even more sensitive to the sounds.. the lights... the movement of others... myself... I felt like I was going to fall over... black out... I had a hard time grasping what I was even doing out and about in this state....
This morning the sinus pressure... the dizziness from movement both worse...it felt like someone stuffed my head with a lot of useless stuff that had no rhyme and reason for being in there... something was seriously wrong...
I'm back on the medication for the vertigo again... There has to be away to fix this....

Find out more about Vertigo:
Vertigo-associated disorders
Vertigo is a sensation of motion or spinning that is often described as dizziness.
Vertigo is not the same as light-headedness. People with vertigo feel as though they are actually spinning or moving, or that the world is spinning around them.
Causes
There are two types of vertigo:
- Peripheral vertigo: The problem is due to the part of the inner ear that controls balance. These areas are called the vestibular labyrinth or semicircular canals. The problem may also involve the vestibular nerve, which connects the inner ear to the brainstem.
- Central vertigo: This type is due to a problem in the brain, usually in the brainstem or the back part of the brain (cerebellum).
Symptoms
The main symptom is a sensation that you or the room is moving or spinning. The spinning sensation may cause nausea and vomiting.
Other symptoms can include:
- Difficulty focusing the eyes

- Hearing loss in one ear
- Loss of balance (may cause falls)
- Ringing in the ears
